BREAKING NEWS: CPP Standing Committee Supports Hun Manet as Future Prime Minister

PHNOM PENH: The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has announced its support for the statement made by the Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, in support of Hun Manet as the future Prime Minister.

In a proclamation signed by CPP vice president and secretary general, Say Chhum, considered Mr. Hun Manet is a person with qualified knowledge, ability, talent, morality who is gaining respect, love and actively participate in the mission for the cause of the motherland and Cambodian people.

The Standing Committee of the Cambodian People's Party believes that Mr. Hun Manet is indeed suitable for the post of Prime Minister in the future.

Say Chhum said: "The Standing Committee of the Central Committee strongly believes and hopes that HE Dr. HUN Manet is a worthy figure as the future Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia to continue to lead the defense of the territorial integrity. "Peace and social stability, the promotion of national prestige and national development to progress in all areas for the prosperity, happiness and happiness of the people of Cambodia."

The CPP Standing Committee is the party's political office, chaired by Hun Sen and Heng Samrin, and vice president chaired by Sar Kheng and Say Chhum. The committee has a total of 35 members.

Speaking at the inauguration of infrastructure in Sihanoukville on the second of December, Prime Minister Hun Sen announced his support for his eldest son Hun Manet, as his successor to the Prime Minister chair.

Hun Manet, 44, is the eldest son of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen. He was the first Cambodian to graduate from the West Point Military Academy in the United States and also the Doctor of Economics at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. At present, Mr. HUN Manet has the rank of 3-Star Lieutenant General as the Commander of the Army of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
